Live in The Moment - Creative Embellishments!

Good morning!

I love this color combo of browns and teals!  I misted the doilies from my stash with coordinating colors.

For the Stars in My Universe frame, I inked it a light teal then added some silk microfine glitter from Elizabeth Craft Designs glitter!

I then painted the Stitched Border, I painted it in a darker teal to add more contrast

I also inked and glittered the dragonfly.

I heat embossed part of the title piece, then painted the other part with dark teal paint like the stitched border.

Spooky Halloween - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Good morning!

Elizabeth Craft Designs has some AWESOME Halloween dies!

It was fun to create this layout using a few of their new dies 

I used the Spider Web die, Scarecrow die, Planner essentials 3, Planner Filmstrip, Stitched Circles, Fitted Indented Rectangle, and Fitted Indented Square.  

 

 With the Celebration Flags I also used the Amethyst Silk Microfine Glitter!

Sunkissed - White Rose Crafts

Good morning!

I am excited and thrilled to be gust designing for White Rose Crafts this month! 

The first project I am going to share is made using the fabulous  

Graphic 45 Sunkissed collection. 

I absolutely love the colors in this collection and seeing how the beach is my happy place it was perfect!

I fussy cut the flower image with the title, turtles, sand dollars and starfish from some of the papers.  I also lightly misted a doily I had in my stash orange to highlight the photo of our youngest!

I love dimension so for the turtles, starfish and sand dollars I used my large ball stylus to 'puff' parts of the animals!

Grad - Creative Embellishments

Good morning!

I am happy to share my next layout using the awesome chippies from Creative Embellishments

I started by tearing and layering the 7 Dots papers (its Christmas paper lol) I then added three strings of hemp and double matted my photo.

 I usually cover my chipboard with some clear gesso but
 for the gears, I did not want them as a solid color, I wanted more of a wash.  So I opted to paint the chippies with a mist alone.

I painted on red Dylusions mist on the washi tape clusters and Washi tape shape clusters, then a bit of dark grey mist.

 I did want the title and the steampunk clock to be solid so I inked and embossed them in black.

I altered the title piece because I only want the title grad - so I simply cut of the rest of the word!

9th Grade - Creative Embellishments

Good morning!

I am excited to share my school inspired layout created with Creative Embellishments chipboard!

I started by layering my 7Dots papers after I inked all the edges

I then painted the Book bag, and number panel in bone, then washed over with a grey mist and then inked with black...with the

 book set 1, I added a teal wash mist!

Our youngest recently graduated from high school and we are so proud of the young man he has become.

I decided to use LOTS of Creative Embellishments chipboard with this layout!

I really love to layer and with this projects I layered all the wonderful chippies!

I painted all the chippies with gesso then navy blue paint, then I a bit of distress stain and finally a little more gesso around the edges

  
I started with the Lace Border 4,

then added the Flourish set 15,  the Flourish Corner 5, and finally the Rectangle Flourish Frame

The title piece is from the Small Handsome Border Words!

Oma & Me - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Good morning! I was honored to be asked by Els to create a layout of her granddaughter and her. I will admit, I was slightly nervous to create something for someone else but the photo she provided was so wonderful that it helped design the layout.

To create this layout you will need 2 full sheets of paper (I used ModaScrap Wood Effect paper (the top one) and ModaScap Relax in the Garden. I also used lots of bits and pieces and 1/2 sheets of the relaxing the garden papers. You will also need an edge distresser, brown ink, a few pearls for inside your flowers and of course your wonderful ECD dies.

Step 1 - Trim your top sheet to 11 3/4 x 11 3/4 then using a pair of sharp scissors trim a bit of the top sheet in little bit so the bottom sheet will show more then using your distressing tool shred the edges a bit on both papers

Step 3 - Using the smallest shape in the fitted hexagons die set, cut 23 - 25 hexagons. Ink then distress the edges.

Step 4 - Using the Planner Essentials 8 cut one of the large tag and the title and ink and die and ink and distress

Step 5 - Using the stitched circles die cut the second largest circle the ink and distress the edges

Step 6 - Using planner essentials 11 cut one of the tags and 4 of the strips then ink and distress the edges 

Step 7 - Cut the top layer of the butterfly flourish and ink the edges

 

 

Step 8 - Using the backside of one of the relaxing in garden papers or a piece of off white cardstock die cut 2 leafy branches, then trim them in half so you will now have 4 pieces and ink the edges

 

 

Step 9 - Using your left over pieces of paper and your favorite flower dies die cut your flowers - I used, bunch of flowers 3, large flower set, and small flower set. I cut three of each flower and layered each one but you can also just die cut one and leave your flowers flat.

Step 10 - Assemble and enjoy!

Summertime - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Good morning!

I love summer - hanging out at the beach, no phones, no devices just the beach and my family

 

I love this photo of Cody and really wanted it to remain the focal point of the layout and gorgeous Relax in the Garden Papers from ModaScrap available at ECD were perfect!

Here I used the stitched fish tails, stitched rectangles and the dashing squares. 

Banners are an excellent embellishment and the tropical floral was perfect for this layout.

I love the simple design of the Summertime title piece from Creative Embellishments 

and to finish off the layout I die cut a silhouette circle using the stitched circles

Love - Elizabeth Craft Designs and Creative Embellishments

Good morning!

I have been busy working on my niece's scrapbook for her upcoming wedding!

I created so many flowers I lost count how many there actually are!
I used the small flower set,  large flower set, and bunch of flowers3 to create the clusters.  I die cut the leaves using the trio of leaves die

 

I LOVE the small butterfly die from ECD.  I used the double sided adhesive and the sand dunes silk microfine glitter from the beach pallete

I wanted the Brick pieces to be distressed so I started by painting them with Gesso, then adding some pink mist then painting on some grey mist and finally adding a bit of the glitter 

For the 'Love' title from the Love artist trading coins I painted it with white gesso, added the mists and the glitter but I want it to remain slightly distressed so I removed some of the glitter in spots!

I am also entering this in the CSI Case file 291- I was inspired by the colours, flowers and the gold in the image

I love dogs - Creative Embellishments!

Good morning!

Today is the 1st so that means another challenge over at Creative Embellishments!

That is our little Axel the day we brought him home - he is now a 75 pound lovable and cuddly dog!

 I used the negative piece from the Square Postage Stamp Frame around the photo.

I LOVE this title piece.... and the heart from the paw prints from the Paw prints chipboard pack are perfect for any dog lover out there!

For all the chipboard pieces I colored them with a purple gelato then sprayed with small amount of water and smeared it with my finger!  I also used my finger to apply a small amount of green lumiere paint.

The challenge this month is to be inspired by this image and the twist is to use flowers on your layout
