Limited Edition - Elizabeth Craft Designs

 Good morning!
Laura back today to share a simple school layout using the Reminiscence Paper Collection!

To create this layout:
Step 1 - trim a 1.25" or 3.5cm off of the right side of your base paper and distress the edge.
Step 2 - cut a 4.5" or 11.5cm piece of paper and distress the edges. Use a 3" or 7cm piece of paper to lay under the base paper to create your 12x12" or 30x30cm layout like shown

Step 4 - using coordinating papers cut 8 (2 each of 4 sizes) of the diagonal Stitched Fishtails, distress the edges and layer like shown.
Step 5 - die cut 2 - 4 3/4 silhouette circles, distress the edges and trim one in half. Add the whole circle like in the above photo.
Step 6 - mat your photo and distress the edges

Step 7 - Using various dies cut enough stitched stars, tags, and fishtails to create two banners using twine. Add a half circle as shown

Step 8 - die cut a 'limited edition' and background, an arrow, a maze piece and circle background to create this title section and as shown

Not Really 'Bad To The Bone' - Creative Embellishments

 Good morning!

Laura here to share a fun masculine layout!

I started by using two CE stencil on the bottom paper where the tearing would show the work.  I used the Gear Stencil 2 and Rivet stencil.

I embossed the title with brown embossing powder then added some copper paint and since Ty is not actually a really great guy I added the 'not really' to the title

For the distressed chevron border, distressed checker pieces, distressed harlequin pieces, and the distressed grid pieces I used at least two different color embossing powders and copper paint

I added some acrylic gears, metal pieces, art stones and seed beads to finish the layout!

Heavenly - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Good morning!
I am excited to share my next creation for Elizabeth Craft Designs!
I am IN LOVE with the new Summer Art paper line and I finally got a chance to create with it....the designs and colors are outstanding!

To create this layout:

Step 1 - cover both sides of your paper with clear gesso ( I used the Summer Art Collection)
Step 2 - mix texture paste with a coordinating color of colorant (I chose tainted love teal from Lindys Stamp gang)
Step 3 - use your favorite ECD stencil and the colored texture paste approximately 2.5" or 6 cm from the left hand side of your paper (I used the waves stencil)
Step 4 - while texture paste is still wet sprinkle silk micro fine glitter at top the image (I used copper)

Step 5 - place two pieces of cheesecloth (1 at least 12 inches or 30.5 cm long and one about 8 inches or 10cm ling) in a resealable freezer bag and color with your favorite mist or powder. (I used Lindy's magical powders in Cowabunga copper and Hags Wart Orange). Remove from bag with tweezers or wearing gloves and dry with your heat gun
Step 6 - adhere the cheesecloth as shown in photos

Step 7 - fussy cut two small flowers, one large flower cluster, a turtle and a set of leaves from the paper and ink the edges

Step 8 - die cut three of your favorite ECD flowers (I used florals 2, florals 1, and florals 3) and assemble remembering to ink the edges
Step 9 - die cut an elegant ornament, palm tree and stem from the Summer Journal Special and an anchor, then ink the edges

Step 10 - grab your favorite chipboard title and heat emboss twice, on the third embossing sprinkle silk microfine glitter into the while you are heat setting the embossing powder. I do not normally take photos in direct sunlight but I wanted to share the glitteriness of the effect
Step 11 - create a photo mat, ink the edges of the mat as well as the background paper. Adhere everything as shown and add some seed beads!

Utopia - Creative Embellishments and Elizabeth Craft Designs

 Good morning!

I am back here today to share a beach family layout!

I started by tearing a page in half and rolling the edges, trimming accent pieces. matting my photo and distressing all the edges of my papers!

I painted all the chipboard pieces with white gesso, allowed to dry, then painted with watercolor paints!

I LOVE the lighthouse shaker.

I made the flowers using the new flower dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs!  I used the water color paints on the edges and added seed beads in the center!

I kept the beachy feel with the title and the flourish 21 and die cut a celebration flag from ECD!

I added some art stones sand seashells for the finishing touch.

Spooky Halloween!

 Good morning!

I love Halloween!

Ghosts and goblins and candy and scary movies!  What's not to love????

This months challenge at Creative Embellishments:

and the twist is to add wings or something with wings...

I have lots of creepy crawlies on the tray with wings!

Now the candles are actually pool noodles that I altered (A LOT) to make this!  My son cut them into sizes for me then cut the center out to fit the fake tea lights.

I started by using thickened white glue (I used cornstarch)that I let drip down for the longer and lighter drips

I then used hot glue and made bigger drips.  I did this a few times to get big drips.  I painted it all with truckbed liner spay.  I covered them twice.

I highlighted the drips with the metallic ECD silver craft drops (which I painted on with a brush) to add shine and definition

I used some ECD double sided tape to hold them together then used hot glue to make sure they stayed together!

The skull was LOTS of fun.

I covered it with primer then added crackle paste.

I then covered it in nickel spray paint.

Once the paint was dry I added black plaint splatters and inked around the edges and over the cracks.

I painted some spiders with black and purple, then added some transparent ECD craft drops

to the bodies to add more visual interest.

I also painted some mini webs - one used as a patch over his eye - with the silver craft drops.

I painted some thorn flourishes black and highlighted with grey and glued them to the top of the candles

I also painted and distressed some pumpkin faces!
