Love - Creative Embellishments

Good morning!
I recently had a birthday and my hubby bought me these gorgeous papers from Kaisercraft and when I saw the mood board from Creative Embellishments it was the perfect match!

I started by layering and distressing the papers

I used blue distress stain on the Heart Lace Border then glued it to coordinating paper and trimmed the paper around it.

I also used the blue stain on the Love title piece

I added some autumn leaves that I used different shades of stain and mist on to the flower cluster

This months twist was to use wood on your project.I trimmed some twigs that I found on the ground, glued them together then added some flowers and more autumn leaves

So go over to the Creative Embellishments blog and check out all the inspiration and the challenge!

Do the the things you think you can not do - White Rose Crafts

Good morning!
I am excited and sad about sharing my next project with you!  Excited because I absolutely loved working with these papers and sad because it is my final projects as guest designer for White Rose Crafts!

I chose a photo that I love but is hard to scrap because of the bright green trees and he is wearing blue and I did not want to make the photo black and white

On the back of the title card on the paper pack is another design perfect for those accent pieces (its the flowered one)One of the reasons I love this paper!

I fussy cut the flowers from one of the papers and used pop dots to add dimension

I added a few flowers to the fussy cut piece and to the cluster - the lilies and the white rose are from White Rose crafts the rest are from my stash

I covered the chipboard in clear gesso and then used my grey gelato and a little bit of water!

Thanks for stopping by and thank you to the team at White Rose!  I have really enjoyed guest designing for you!

Have a great day!

Cherish-White Rose Crafts LLC

Good morning!
I am back to share a another layout I created for my Guest Design  Team spot for White Rose Crafts LLC.

This months theme that the guest designers were asked to create with is fall/Halloween so I created a fall layout!

I know that these papers are really loved themed but I really enjoy using themed papers for something other than their original theme!

I used some flowers fro my stash and these wonderful metal roses from White Rose.  I altered them a bit with some orange paint

I painted and misted the title piece from my stash and tied a piece of orange cord around the photo also from my stash!

Thankful for Famlly - Eliabeth Craft Designs

Good morning!
We just celebrated our thanksgiving here in Canada and I believe I am truly blessed and have a lot to be thankful for.

The aspect of my life that I am most thankful for is my family.
We are a really close family and we help each other through good and bad.  We had a rough year with Jons health and every day I am thankful for him to be here and our boys that showed their loving and caring and strong demeanor that helped us both.  I am thankful for the laughter we share, the lessons we have learned, the moments we have and the life we have built together.

To create this layout I used the ModaScrap Wood Effect paper,

Here are the details:

I LOVE these background stamps!

Step 4 - Using scraps of coordinating paper cut two of the X's from the Decorative Edges then cut them into strips

Step 5 - cut two Celebration flags and adhere together

Step 6 - Cut three flowers and leaves from the Tropical Florals

Sunshine and Smiles - Creative Embellishments

Good morning!
I captured this photo of my hubby giving me that little smirk, and that look - the one that after being together for 22 years still gives me butterflies like a school girl.  Yup I know I am lucky - he still looks at me like that.

I began by covering the paper with clear gesso.  I then tore pieces of paper and randomly adhered them.
I mixed some purple powder with texture paste and ran it over a circle stencil.

I colored some cheesecloth next and adhered it to the papers.  I started adding the flowers then seashells, microbeads, and clear gems.
For the title piece I covered it in gesso then added some teal mist, then over top some brown mist that I painted on then rubbed off with a paper towel so the teal also showed through

For the Beach Trading coins, I began by covering them in a layer of white gesso, then painted on some light purple mist and wiped it away so the coins looked distressed.
For the stitched border I also used gesso and teal mist

I am entering this in this project in the Lasting memories torn edges challenge and the Paper Issues take 5 challenge

October Creative Embellishments Mood Board Challenge

Good morning!
I always love working with CE chipboard and some of my favorite layouts I have ever created where created using CE products.
This layout has to be one of my favorite ever....

The beautiful mood board this month

lent itself perfectly to the sunning papers from the Hazy Days collection from 7 dots
I started by coloring my cheesecloth with Prima artisan powder Parisian Rosewood.
To do this I cut the size of cloth I needed, laid it on a foam plate then added some of the powder and sprayed with water.  I swirled it around with GLOVED hands to make sure it was completely covered.  I also used this mixture on those awesome chipboard autumn leaves and the orange flowers.  This mixture is chalk so when it dries it wants to rub onto your hands.
Here is a closer look at the leaves and flowers.
Continuing with the leaves I added a bit of the Art C paints that come in pens (antique copper and teal) which I diluted a bit with water in a pallet. I then added some pure sunshine Dylsusions mits and fianlly dry brushed some Lumiere true gold paint.  I colored the flowers with the teal paint and added some gold paint to all the flowers

The Vintage Flourishes I painted in brown and then dry brushed the gold.

This awesome title piece I painted in the teal then added gold

I painted the autumn trading coins and the fall frame 2 in the prima powder/paint then added some of the antique copper paint and finally the gold paint.
