3 projects for Creative Embellishments

 Good morning!

It's my turn to share some projects for Creative embellishments!

A friend of mine lost her father.  She had seen a project I created of Cody and asked if I would create something for her in tribute of her father.

I started by painting the hypnotic circle background black

I then used the Flourish Stencil with texture paste on the hypnotic part.  I began layering paint, mists and inks.

I painted the Hexagon Panel with paint and mists in different shades of red and highlighted with gold

One of the awesome things I love about Creative Embellishments is that Nicolle with do custom orders like this 'tattoo' I requested.  I used texture paste, paint and inks on this piece.  It is perfect for this piece

My friends dad was a truck driver, fisherman and avid hunter. So again Nicolle created the rifle as a custom order and the rod came from the Fishing Set
I covered the rod and gun with crackle paste, after dry I added paints and mists

I painted the Scroll Border 3 with different shades of red and gold as a highlight.
I finished the project with flowers that I misted, beads, art stones and molded flourishes

The next project 'Knowledge'

For this layout I used some paper from 3Quarter Designs and a photo of Ty's high school graduation

inked and embossed the Infinite Circle Frame and Grunge Star Corner

I also embossed the Graduation ATC coin and the title piece

I finished the layout with beads, art stones and flowers

My final project 'treasure' is of Cody's high school senior photos

For this layout I also used some paper from 3 Quarter Designs and a large grid panel

I embossed the Infinite Circle Frame

I used a gel stain on the distressed circle border.

I also embossed the title piece!

Let It Snow - The Funkie Junkie Boutique

 Good morning!

There is another challenge at The Funkie Junkie Boutique!

For this challenge reflect how the weather is in January in my part of the world.  Highlight anything that speaks icy and/or cold to you which could include:  snowflakes, icy tones of colors, icicles or winter activities.  Come share what icy and cold inspires in your art!   So check out the Funky and Frilly Blog for all the details

I used the beautiful Frozen Roses paper from Ciao Bella to create this layout!

I used texture paste with the Tim Holtz Fading Dot Stencil then I began layering all the beautiful papers!  I also added a snowflake charm to my cluster.

I painted my Creative Embellishments chipboard with Prima Metallic Red Wine Acrylic Paint then added some snoflake paste to the chipboard and  flowers from my stash

Life - The Funkie Junkie Boutique

 Good morning!
I saw this gorgeous line in the store and knew I had to have it!  The colors and the designs are awesome for projects of my guys!

I created this layout  using a photo of my sons senior photos from high school

I covered the base paper with clear gesso, allowed to dry then painted white gesso

I took my salvaged patina distress oxide ink pad and pounced it on the gesso part

I sprayed it with water

I painted over with Prima Art Alchemy metallic rustic brown paint then dabbed with a paper towel

Texture paste was used with Tim Holtz Schoolhouse stencil and heat set

I sprayed the stenciled area with Salvaged Patina Distress Spray Stain, heat set then distressed the edges of the base paper

Trimmed a piece of paper to 8" x 7 1/4" then adhered it to cardboard to add dimension and to allow a couple of flowers under the edge

I added the fabulous Stamperia Alchemy Clear Die Cuts

I fussy cut the book marks and accent papers then distressed the edges

I added some flowers and gems to finish the layout

Out with the Old - The Funkie Junkie Boutique

 Good morning!
This weeks challenge at The Funkie Junkie boutique is Out with the old and in with the new!

One of the very first items I received from The Funkie Junkie Boutique when I began my term as a DT member was the beautiful Romantic Journal from Stamperia so that is my old product I used.  I love the muted colors and fabulous designs in this paper.

One of my newest acquisitions from The Funkie Junkie is the Speckled Egg embossing glaze that I used on the Prima Beautiful Gears Chipboard.

I covered the beautiful paper with clear gesso, then I used the Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink on the paper and sprayed with some water to create a water color background.  I also used the Tim Holtz layering stencil Stripes with the Vintage Photo ink pad

I fussy cut some of the flowers from the paper and the other flowers from my stash I sprayed with Ranger dylusions ground coffee ink spray and the Ranger Salvaged Patina distress spray.

In the distressed recesses I added some Prima Jewel Paste then added some art stones colored with the distress ink and a clock charm.
