A Moment In Time - The Funkie Junkie Boutique

 Good morning!

I am hosting this challenge at The Funkie Junkie Boutique!

The challenge is to be inspired by the quote 'Time has a Wonderful way of showing us what really matters' and create a vintage or shabby chic project inspired by this quote and it must have a time piece like a clock, pocket watch or photo of a time piece!

Here is what I created;

I started by tearing my top sheet or Stamperia Romantic Journal paper then covering it with clear gesso.  I then distressed the paper edges and added some pieces from a different paper under the tears

The Funkie Junkie Boutique, Stamperia

I used the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide pad in Salvaged Patina with the Layering Stencil Dot Fade.  Over that I used the Layering Stencil strips with paste

I created a two clusters using Prima Grungy Succulents, Prima Capri Flowers, Mixed Color Sweetheart Blossom Flowers, Time Pieces and images from the paper I fussy cut

For the title I used some of my Creative Embellishments chipboard that I inked with the Distress oxide ink in Salvaged Patina, and Ground Espresso.
I hope to see your entries in this challenge here.

Altered Art - Creative Embellishments

 Good morning!
I am back to share an altered item I created for a friend of ours.
A couple of months ago I created 2 altered projects and my friend really wanted a third one so here it is!

I started by covering the piece with gesso then applied texture paste with the crackled brick stencil and some crackle paste.  After the mediums dried I applied colorants and paint

I applied the crackle paste to the wood tree, then paint and dry brushed the orange and teal.  I painted the leaves with a copper paint

I painted the title with teal for contrast

Step 4 - For dimension I use cardboard strips adhered to my paper

Step 5 - start layering your papers as shown and add your photo (s) then add the rest of your ephemera and stickers!

Here are close ups of the details

I added some cardboard under a few of of the die cuts and stickers to add dimension

Hero - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Good morning! I am here today to share my next layout I created for ECD!
I really like to mix my papers from different collections as long as the color families are the same so for this layout I mixed some papers from the Mystical Winter paper pack, the Rusty Weathered and the Summer Art!

To create this layout:
Step 1 - Trim one paper to 11x7 and distress the edges, distress the edges of a 12x12 sheet and cut a 'V' into the top right of both papers about 2 1/2 " from the edge. Cut one more piece of paper large enough to be adhered behind the cut 'V'
Step 2 - adhere all the papers together and then cover with clear gesso and allow to dry

Step 3 - using watered down paints paint circles randomly in various sizes and also splatter some paint

Step 4 - Die cut 7 flowers and assemble. I die cut Florals 6, 8, 1, 2, 3, and 4 using white cardstock then painted them with the watercolor palette.

Step 5 - add your title

Step 6 - add some resin pieces, seed beads, art stones and cord to finish your layout!

I am also entering this in the More Than Words June 2021 challenge
