Altered Art! Creative Embellishments

 Good morning!

I am excited to share a couple of home decor projects I have created!

A few weeks ago I shared a alerted art project I created for my best friends husband, now I am sharing the other part!

I covered it all with gesso then used the brick stencil with texture paste and added crackle paste.  I covered it with black paint and mists.

I painted the diamond panel with black paint then added some color.  I painted the Heart Dangle in the teal to add pop and the title piece I used copper paint to provide contrast.  The butterfly I used all the colors!

I covered the chipboard ornate pieces 1 & 2 and A Whole Lot Of Love Border in gesso then crackle paste followed by paints and mists.

To finish I added some seed beads!

My second project is a Christmas decor piece

I covered the ornament in white gesso then wrapped vintage inspired lace in cream and white

I painted the top of the ornament and the Merry Christmas in a vintage gold paint.

I added a vintage inspired flower and some gold and white pearls!

While I was wrapping the lace I added a string of led lights!

Noel

 Good morning!
The holiday season is upon us and I am excited!
To share my Christmas spirit I created a Christmas layout of my husband and our oldest boy.

To create this layout:
Step 1 - Cover your paper with clear gesso (allow to dry or heat set) then use your favorite ECD stencil ( I used the dot dot dot stencil)and texture paste on the left hand side of the paper - I used a paper from the worn wood paper pack
Step 2 - using the splatter technique splatter your coordinating colors on the paper over your stenciled image
using your scissors cut three small indents on your paper then distress all your edges
Step 3 - using coordinating colorants color the lace and allow to dry. Using your double sided tape adhere the lace to the indents that you cut earlier.
Step 4 - color a large circular frame and a title with white gesso and allow to dry. Once dry use Snowflake paste on both pieces and allow to dry

Step 5 - die cut 11 poinsettias and 5 of just the smallest, some leaves and 3 large and 3 small pine cones from the Christmas Accents die set. Ink the edges of all pieces and assemble. Once assembled add snowflake paste to each piece and allow to dry.

Step 6 - die cut as many stems & branches from the Create a Wreath as you want, ink the edges, add the pearl rose craft drops to the berry part of the branches and add snowflake paste and allow to dry

Step 7 - Mat your photo and assemble as shown
Step 8 - add some seed beads, gems or art stones

Altered Art - Creative Embellishments

 Good morning!

My best friend asked me to make something for her husband who has very few family photos of his childhood and would love an altered art piece!

I created this wall hanging for his bar area!

I covered it all with gesso then used the brick stencil with texture paste and added crackle paste.  I covered it with black paint and mists

I altered the paint brush by using crackle medium then adding the black paint and mists.  I covered the chipboard hearts, wings, ornate pieces 1 & 2 and brick pieces in gesso then crackle paste followed by paints and mists.  I wanted to title piece to stand out so I painted it with copper metallic paint

I added some copper and gold paint to highlight areas.

To finish I added some seed beads!

I created this for Creative Embellishments November challenge!
