Our handsome Son! - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Good morning!
I am a proud mom of two boys and I created many masculine layouts.
There are so many awesome die from Elizabeth Craft including the new planner essentials dies and stamps that are perfect when creating those manly layouts!
To create this layout
Step 1: after choosing your main sheet ink the outside edge then cover both sides of your paper with clear gesso and allow to dry or use your heat gun to dry. *covering both sides helps to cut down on warping that you may get when you use mixed media products
Step 2: taking your planner essentials patterns 2 stamp, stamp the flowery looking stamp with brown ink at 1 inch from the left edge of the paper. then towards the top at about 5 inches from the left, then slightly higher at 6 inches, then closer to the bottom at 9 inches and again at 10 inches lower than the one at 9 inches. Allow to dry or set with your heat gun
Step 3: taking a coordinating color of mist, use a paint brush to highlight these stamped images
Step 4: mix another coordinating color of powder colorant (ie magicals) with embossing paste and using a palette knife apply beside and an top of stamped images and set with heat gun
Step 5: die cut each of the following using coordinating papers: 2 of the circle edges from valentines edges, 1 pocket watch from the Take time for you, 3 of the edge die from the planner essentials 11, (after you die cut them tear the each end off a little bit do there is not a straight end), the title from the planner essentials 8, a banner from the celebration flags die, a small butterfly, a 2 1/2 inch stitched fishtail, a large ticket from the planner essentials 11, a 2 1/2 inch and 2 4 1/2 inch stitched rectangles. Ink the edges of all the die cuts
Step 6: assemble as shown

Christmas in July! - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Good morning!
It is so hot here right now that I am dreaming of cooler weather, so great way to cool down - create a Christmas layout!

When the boys were younger they each had their own trees they would decorate and put in their room.  Each year Santa would leave a small gift under their trees that they could open as soon as they woke up without waking up mom and dad....they would still come running into our room at 5am to show us what they got lol!  They would then go back to their room to play with the toy and we would go back to sleep and most of the time so would they clutching their new toy from Santa!

I created all the poinsettias, banners and winter ornaments using a die set from ECD and double sided adhesive with their silk micro fine glitter.  I love the sparkle!

I also used the modascrap Its Christmas Time paper and
The Leafy branch I cut from green cardstock and added some red gems!

Dapper - Creative Embellishments!

Good morning!
Our oldest always likes to look nice!  He has a wonderful sense of style!

I started by distressing the edges of my papers then layered them.  I love to use themed papers but not for the theme they were created for.  these papers are Kaisercraft's Christmas papers but the reds were perfect for this photo of Cody.

I used black ink to add some background through the Distressed Patterns Stencil.   I also inked and heat embossed the title piece from the Handsome Border words.

For the stars I misted them in black and red then added some red silk microfine glitter

I also misted and glittered the shape artist trading coin

I am entering this in the Paper Issues challenge Stars and Stripes...
I used the red and white for our country's colours of the flag - Canada and I used striped paper and stars!
I am also entering this in the Lasting Memories challenge #453!

Bouncing Baby Boy - Creative Embellishments and Elizabeth Craft Designs

Good morning!
I wanted to share a sweet baby layout I created for Elizabeth Craft Designs and Creative Embellishments!
I am also entering this into the CSI case file # 29o
the inspiration reminds me of something that would be in a baby's room

I started by layering the white soft finish cardstock over a paper from the blue cotton candy set from Moda Scrap then I set to die cutting many circles using the Stitched circle die set from ECD using papers from the set as well as the double sided adhesive that I used Ocean Blue silk microfine glitter on.  I then placed them in the shape of a heart.

With the paper I chose to work with the chipboard left raw looked the best but I wanted to spice it up just a little so I added some more of the ocean blue silk microfine glitter to Baby Artist Trading Coins  and vintage flourish

I added some glitter to the I love you title piece.
Simple and sweet!

Follow your heart - Creative Embellishments

Good morning!
I am so excited to be back on the team here at Creative Embellishments and working with some of the most talented people I have ever met!

My first project was lots of fun to create....

I started with the 7 Dots garden Party papers then covered the bottom and top sheet with clear gesso so I could do some mixed media work and I also painted all the chipboard pieces with the clear gessso as well then shredded all the edges of the papers.

I used the Distressed Patterns Stencil with texture paste behind the embellishments grouping and on the page behind the photo.  I used some lime green and purple mist applied with a paint brush and some purple seed beads as well as green glass glitter .

I cut a Gear corner to use, gears, and some punchinella pieces
The epoxy pieces were made by wonderful hubby.  I painted  all the pieces with watercolor paints, and mists.

I used the grunge circle frame and more punchinella pieces as well as gears and another hubby made epoxy piece

I painted the Follow Your Heart title piece with purple mists and grey paint.
