My first post for Scrap Shotz!

Good morning!
I am excited to share my first projects as a new Design Team Member here at Scrap Shotz!

I decided to use the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine May Sketch as my first project here!

and here is the wonderful sketch I used

To create his layout I started with by using the walnut cardstock from the main kit for a base.

I then layered a piece of the wonderful Kaisercraft Pen and Ink paper that I layered

I chose a sequence of photos from  a recent photo shoot of our boys and my hubby playing around jumping from a gate....boys being boys!

I wanted to use the gold tape from the add on but it was a little too gold for the layout so I used the lawn fawn walnut ink pad to darken the gold and make it match my layout more!

Thanks for stopping by for my first SS post!

I really enjoy working with glitter and the Elizabeth Craft Designs microfine glitter is awesome to work with!  Great sparkle and wonderful colors!

To create this layout:

Step 1) gather supplies - microfine glitter (I used true red and cool diamond), dies - Stitched Rectangles, dashing squares, Stitched Circle and the Poinsettia, double sided tape  (I used 3 mm) and the double sided sheet, 1 12x12 sheet of patterned paper, 1 5x12 piece, and enough pieces to die cut the rectangles and circles and mat photo, (I used kaisercraftChristmas Edition) 1 sheet of cardstock, liquid glue and ink

Step 2) Mat your photo using patterned paper and cardstock

Step 3) using your patterned paper die cut 3 of the largest stitched rectangles, and one large circle and cut one small strip of paper 10" x 1/2"

Step 4) using red cardstock die cut  the solid poinsettia x3 and the small poinsettia x5

Step 5)  adhere a sheet of the double sided tape sheets to red cardstock and cut our 3x the lacy die from the poinsettia and 1 of the small. using your stylus style all your poinsettia's if you wish.  Remove the protective layer on the lacy flowers and your single small flower and add your microfine glitter.  Shake off excess and return to the container.  assemble your flowers.  add a small dab of glue to the center and add ore glitter.... They should like this

 Step 6) ink all papers

Step 7) adhere all papers together

Step 8) add a piece of tape to the top and bottom approximately 6 1/2" long and add more red glitter like this

Step 9)  using your liquid glue add some highlights to the tree on the patterned paper or any design you have on your paper.  Apply some cool diamond glitter.

Step 10)  fussy cut any images you wish from your patterned paper including your title and adhere it to a square diecut

Step 11) adhere everything together

Being Loved - Creative Embellishments

Good morning!
I am lucky enough to be married to an awesome guy and Nicolle has this quote at the Creative Embellishments store that really sums up our relationship becasue together we can face anything!

I started by using some washi tape, added some embossing paste through a stencil then added some embossing powder in black and pink.  I also used some cheesecloth I dyed black, flowers and a resin piece!

I embossed the Heart Lace border in black tinsel and added it under the photo

This amazing title piece I embossed in pink to add some drama against the dark background paper

On the side piece I did some embossing and added some cheesecloth and a heart also embossed with pink!
