A wonderful young man - Creative Embellishments

As mom we all believe our kids are awesome!
And we should!  Each kid has their own special qualities that make them unique and extraordinary and we should celebrate our kids.

This is a layout I created for Creative Embellishments using their wonderful chipboard and paper from Penelope Dee celebrating what an exceptional kid I think Cody is.
He would hep anyone, and has.  Little things he does like, holding a door open for people, a young lady was struggling to hold he basket at a store, Cody did not know her but offered to hold her basket while she was in line, picking up things when others drop them rather than walking by, to the big things like a while ago an on line friend of his was contemplating suicide, Cody asked us for help so we got in touch with the right police (in a different country) and Cody stayed on the computer with him till helped arrived.  He is the type of kid that helps and doesn't expect anything from it...he really is selfless.

I embossed the flourish page corner, lace border 4 and Simple Hinges with black then added some crushed glitter glass and dry brushed some gold paint.
For the title selfless which came in a custom word set!!!  Yes Creative Embellishments does custom work too, I embossed in gold then  inked a bit of black

Exploding box! - Elizabeth Craft Designs!

Good morning!
I think I am now addicted to making exploding boxes! lol!

Here is one I created for mothers day!

I really wanted this one to be vibrant so I used the wonderful Graphic 45 papers!

To create the box I followed a couple of you tube videos and I suggest that you do to.

1) gather supplies - 3 sheets of coordinating cardstock, butterfly die and stitched circles die and Happy Holidays - happy mothers day, double sided tape, chipboard and pearls.

2) create your exploding box and lid

3) die cut all dies out of coordinating cardstock.  For the butterfly I cut the underside out of the vibrant G45 papers then a piece of black cardstock for the upper part for the contrast!

5) assemble everything!

Little Cowpoke - Creative Embellishments

Good morning!

I often look through older photos and when strikes my attention I will scrap it!
This one from Cody when he was only 15 months old really makes me smile

I chose which fabulous Creative Embellishments chipboard I wanted to use then started layering all the beautiful Maja  Designs papers

I wnted to keep the chipboard simple and a little darker so it would pop against the background so I inked the Zig Zag Border that I cut into two pieces and the Lace Border 3 with dark brown ink

For title I embossed the Lovable title from the Boy word set in blue to contrast against the dark brown
