Playing with color and Bo Bunny

Good morning!

I have another layout to share today from the 'Boys will be Boys' kit from Scraps Of Darkness using the Bo Bunny Life In Color collection

Our niece Jill from Breaultography took this wonderful photo of Cody which was perfect for these papers

I started by using the Lindy's color shakers from the main kit and color add on onto the background paper that I had covered in clear gesso.  I spritzed with water until I liked what I saw!  I then used a stencil from a previous kit and some embossing paste!

I fussy cut these images from the papers and used the tape from the elements add on

I also fussy cut the title out of the paper,

and the hot air balloon.  I also added some of the microbeads from the elements add on!

The really awesome arrow I inked with orange stazon ink then added the green embossing powder and some of the blue microbeads!

I used a wonderful sketch from Stuck? Sketches

Colorful fun with Bo Bunny from The 'Boys Will Be Boys' kit

Good morning!
I am really enjoying working with the Scraps Of Darkness 'Boys Will Be Boys' kit.
For this layout I decided to use the Bo Bunny Life In Color collection...

I started bylayering then inking all the papers with stayz on ink from a previous kit.

I added some of the clear stickers from the elements add on...they are cool!

I fussy cut that really cool octopus out of one of the papers from the coordinating paper add on.  He rocks!

I also added the Echo Park Petticoats & Pinstripes Boy Words Decorative Tape from the elements add on.

Mood Board challenge!

Good morning!

Here is the layout I created being inspired by this moodboard and using the Scraps Of Darkness 'Boys Will Be Boys' kit

Every month I host a challenge over at Scraps Of Darkness Facebook Community
This month I decided to have a mood board challenge!

I was inspired by the textures, colors and quote so I created a layout using the browns and blues, lots of texture and that quite had to be the title for the layout with this photo (by Breaultography)
I love the Cody marches to his own drummer and does things his own way.  He is such a fabulous kid and I really wanted to celebrate it!
I started by layering the awesome Chesterville papers by Blue Fern Studios and inking and distressing the edges

*create any layout or altered art using This mood board for inspiration
*must be new and created for this challenge and uploaded before April 30th midnight est
*paper only please (no digital)
*please upload your layout for this challenge into this album
*if you create a layout using any of our kits you will receive an extra ballot
*Melinda will be providing a Gift certificate for the randomly drawn winning entry!

I created the cluster using the flowers from the main kit, floral add on and from previous kits

The denim stars are fabulous!  They are part of main kit...I added the denim button from elements add on.

The arrow is also part of the elements add on, I inked it and added blue embossing powder from a previous kit.
I LOVE this quote.  I think everyone she embrace their individuality and be as awesome as possible!

Grungy mixed media layout!

Hey everyone!
I am excited to share my first layout with the awesome Scraps Of Darkness 'Boys will be Boys' kit!
It is jammed pack full of awesome stuff that is perfect for the photos of my guys taken by my niece at Breautography!

The Blue Fern papers are perfect for this layout I wanted to create using a Stuck? sketch! I started by tearing the papers, then added a bit of texture by using a stencil and texture paste, and misting with the Lindy's Stamp Gang Sandra Dee Sepia Flat Fabios Mist from the color add on

in a previous kit was this wonderful Blue Fern Studios chipboard piece...I inked it and then added some Blue Fern Studios Sage Embossing Powder from the color add on.

I added the Papermania Denim Blue Metal Buttons from the elements add on along with some gears from a previous kit, the sequins from the main kit and some beads from my stash

I added a heart doily from my stash that I misted and inked with the Lindy's Stamp Gang Sandra Dee Sepia Flat Fabios Mist from the color add on and some black mist from a previous kit.  I did the same technique to the arrow that I did the other blue fern chipboard.  I added my title and a chipboard heart from February's kit.

To create the bricks I covered a sheet of cardstock with texture paste, then red paint, then black mist.

here is the sketch I used
