Mother and Son layout - Scraps of Darkness!!!

Good morning!

I am back today to share  a sweet layout I did of an 'ussie' of our youngest and I taken at Canada's Wonderland while we were waiting  for my hubby and oldest son to get off one of those crazy rides....
I created this using the 'Sparkle and Shine' kit

The awesome Prima papers were perfect for layering!!!

I created a cluster with flowers from the main kit and floral add on and a Creative Embellishment chipboard flourish that I had in my stash!

I used three of Prima tapes to frame the photo!  The tapes are so cool!

I created the title using the stickers!  Perfect title!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Crazy for Him - Creative Memories and Scraps Of Darkness layout!

Good morning!
I am so excited to share this layout.
I normally do not scrapbook in pink - just not my color BUT these gorgeous papers and elements may have changed my mind!

For this layout I used some awesome Creative Embellishment chipboard and the Simple Stories Beautiful  paper from the Sparkle and Shine kit.

I started by layering the  fabulous papers and added a border sticker from the main kit then lightly distressed the edges.
I then painted the Flourish set 19 from Creative Embellishments with Art C Ultra Chalk Paint in Victorian Pink from a previous Scraps Of Darkness kit.  I added some Ranger Rose Quartz embossing powder (from a previous kit) and heat set it.  In the color add on is this gorgeous Jacquard Lumiere True Gold Acrylic Paint that I brushed on with my finger to keep with the lightly gold theme.

For the Circle Vine frame I embossed it with one of my favorite embossing powders - Stampendous aged black embossing enamel from a previous Scraps Of Darkness kit.

Check out all those stunning flowers from the  main kit and floral add on!

For the title piece 'Crazy for You' I embossed it with the same embossing powder then rubbed a little bit of the pink chalk paint on it!

Love makes the world go around - Scraps Of Darkness

Hi everyone!
I recently received my 'Sparkle and Shine' Scraps Of Darkness kit and I couldn't wait to get creating.
When I saw the Prima Paper Rose Quartz - Stone Quartz the idea for this layout came to me

This awesome photo was taken by my niece last year

To Begin with I fussy cut one of the worlds out of the paper and layered it over the Grateful heart paper and the Rose Dreams paper.
I added Papermania Wild Rose Jumbo Crochet Trim from the elements add on.

Icreated a cluster using flowers from the main kit and floral add on and these really cool feathers from the elements add on.  I also double matted the photo and used foam dots for dimension

Here is a close up of those really pretty flowers.  I also added some Prima Rose Quartz Puffy Stickers from the main kit - they are really cute!

I finished off with a title using the 'LOVE' from the puffy stickers and some letter stickers from my stash

Honor student - Creative Embellishments layout

Good morning!
I created a layout about our oldest son receiving his honors award for this months challenge at Creative Embellishments

Cody is so smart and works really hard to keep good grades.
We are so proud of the effort and commitment he has to achieving high marks

I used some BoBunny paper from a previous Scraps of Darkness kit that I think matched the awesome grungy feel of the chipboard I chose to use

I LOVE my new Creative Embellishments Distressed Corner stamp!!!!
I used it along the edge of the photo and papers

For the honor student title I painted it with Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint from Prima in blue and red, then added blue prills and lots of black ink to grunge it up!  For the grunge arrow I simply embossed it with black embossing powder.

For the grunge stars and washi tape I painted them with coordinating colors then inked them to  grunge them up a bit.  I also add a few pieces of school flair for the finishing touch.

I LOVE this grunge star corner!  I painted, inked and embossed it to add to the whole distressed feel of the layout

I created this layout for the September challenge at Creative Embellishments!

Mixed Media Beach Layout

Good morning!
I am back to share another layout I created using the Wayfarer kit!
I love creating beach layouts - probably because thats one of my favorite places to be!

When I saw this piece of paper - Pacific Coast - from Blue Fern Studios in the kit - my mouth dropped!  It is gorgeous!  I really wanted to create a layout that sis it justice!
I chose an older photo of Cody that matched so beautifully with the elements

I did some mixed media work with s stencil, sand medium and Lindys Stamp Gang mist and Brusho turquoise powder.  I sprayed some cheese cloth with the mists too, added some prills from previous kits and some Prima Art pebbles also from a previous kit and shells from my stash!

The Prima Resin Frame is beautiful!   To add to its beauty I misted it, added the brusho powder color, and prills!  The title piece I found in the Prima Traveler's Journal Ephemera & Stickers from the main kit...I wrinkled it and added some ink and the same brusho color.

Sandy Toes.....

Good morning!
I love spending time at the beach - and taking photos!
I decided to use the 49 and Market papers from a previous Scraps of Darkness kit along with some awesome chippies from Creative Embellishments!

I took this photo of Tyler's feet last summer and when I saw the title chipboard piece from Creative Embellishments it was perfect!

I used dimensional paints on the title piece - I wanted the shine....

I love the fishnet panel - it was perfect for my photo mat..I also used the dimensional paint on it

I created a couple of clusters....I stuck some 49 and Market 3D embellishments among some wonderful Creative Embellishments chippies!  I painted the Seaweed with Prima paint in 3 different colors and the Seashells

Layered Family layout using the Wayfarer Kit

Hi everyone!
I am so in love with this kit!!!!
I love the colors of it!  Perfect for almost any subject!
But one thing I love t o to is layer my papers when I create and this kit was full of papers that are perfect for that!  Perfect for this awesome photo my niece took of my hubby and our boys!

I started by layering all the wonderful Blue Fern papers and to add more texture I added the burlap piece from the main kit!

I created a cluster using flowers from the floral add on, previous kits and my stash.  I also added the sweet fern pieces....

For the title piece and fern pieces - from Blue Fern studios - I took brown and blue distressed stain from previous kits and when they mixed they created the green color you see!

I added a few butterflies from a previous kit!

Here you can see all the layers!

It's Love....

My hubby and I just celebrated our 18th wedding Anniversary...
I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful and loving man in my life!
We are both very passionate people and I wanted to create a layout that conveys that....

I started with mostly the black and cream papers from the Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe and because I wanted to add drama and passion I decided to use some shades of red

For the Steampunk Heart with wings I sprayed with Dylusions Black Marble mist, Tattered Angels Barn Red and Heidi Swapp Sweet Cherry.

I then took my Ranger Perfect Medium Pen and used it on spots of the heart. To keep the distressed look I did not make it perfect.  I used some Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powders

On the tips of the wings I added some black crushed glitter glass (the same I used some of the flowers)

I also embossed the word "LOVE" on the key that comes with the steampunk heart and added some red glitter to it.

In my flower cluster I added some embossed gears to keep with the steampunk design.

I LOVE this piece of chipboard!
the Grunge Heart corner piece is really cool!  I spayed it with the same mists as I did with the heart with wings then added the black crushed glitter glass to the arrow and added a few embossed gears.
