Laughter....Creative Embellishments!

Good morning!
My husband and I love to laugh...he is always doing something to make me smile or laugh....I think he may just be a little nuts and I love him for it!

The Creative Embellishments title 'Make her laugh and you will have her heart' is perfect for the photo my lovely niece Jill took last year.
The beautiful Prima papers and lace were from a previous Scraps Of Darkness kit....

For the title and Heart String Border I painted them with grey and pink pant then rubbed a bit of copper to accent.

I sprayed the doily with grey mists

I treated the Arrow Frame with Hearts the same way I did the title and border

Music is a what feelings sound like....Creative Embellishments

Music is a always on in our house...
The boys always have music on, wither downstairs while they are on the computer or playing games.  I have it on when I am cleaning or scrapbooking - so its on all the time lol!  And my husband always has it on in the shop!

Our oldest Cody seems to be the kid with the  most musical interest.  He plays the electric guitar and is really eclectic in his music tastes....he has Nickleback, Metallica, Johnny cash, 50's music and classical all on his playlist....

This photo is from a farewell concert to the music teacher that had been at Cody's high school forever.

For the title I simply embossed the 'Sharp' from the small handsome border words in black.

I used the Authentique paper in lots of layers.

I embossed the Music Note Borders in black and trimmed them to fit my page.  I added some grey seed beads and some fabulous Stars that I embossed with yellow

I LOVE this Music Note Frame...simply embossed it and it was perfect!  I added a few flowers and voila!

Never too Old for an Easter Egg Hunt - Creative Embellishments

Good morning!

I don't normally scrap in season - I scrapbook whatever catches my fancy and when I saw the Easter Egg Frame  from Creative Embellishments I knew what I wanted to do!

I used the Graphic 45 Artisan style papers because I love the bright and happy feel to them.

For the Easter Egg Frame I painted them with Prima acrylic paints then added some glitter.  I decided to keep with the orange and blues in the papers

In my clusters I added some painted and glittered Flourish Eggs

We do Easter Egg hunts every year even though our boys are teens - they still like it and its tradition!  So I really think the title from the Egg Word Set fits

Messy Boy - Creative Embellishments!

Good morning!

I love grungy layouts...I like looking at them and I really like creating them.  Luckily for me I have two boys so I can create grungy masculine layouts!

I love all the steampunk and grungy chipboard I can get from Creative Embellishments....right up my alley!
I used some more of the cotton candy dreams paper from 7 Dots Studio - I LOVE this paper!

I added lots of texture and highlights to my chipboard pieces.  For the paint splats and drips I started by adding natural sand medium with a paint brush, then sprayed a few dark grey and black mists.  I added some grey ink, some black stickles then finally I added some mica fragments.

Now for the title piece 'Working Hard' and Grunge Gear Corner I started off the same way as the other chipboard - sand medium, sprays and ink...but then I used some copper paint that I used my finger to brush on and highlight.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope I inspired you to get a little grungy!

Beach time - Creative Embellishments!

Good morning!
I love going to the beach!  I take a lot of photos when we are there!

I used some 49 & Market papers from a previous Scraps Of Darkness kit!
These papers are stunning and go so well with the amazing chipboard from Creative Embellishments

For the Title pice 'catching waves' from the Beach Word Set 2 I painted it dark blue then added crushed glitter glass then dabbed some white pearl paint

I painted the lighthouse from the Nautical themed chipboard with the same blue then added some pearl white for highlights
For the Seashells I painted them (one with coral color and one with pearl white) and then tucked in the some 3D stickers from the same kit
Throughout the layout I placed bubbles that I painted with pearl paint

I LOVE this flourish frame I painted it with coral paint from a previous Scraps Of Darkness kit then added some white pearl paint!

Mother and Son layout - Scraps of Darkness!!!

Good morning!

I am back today to share  a sweet layout I did of an 'ussie' of our youngest and I taken at Canada's Wonderland while we were waiting  for my hubby and oldest son to get off one of those crazy rides....
I created this using the 'Sparkle and Shine' kit

The awesome Prima papers were perfect for layering!!!

I created a cluster with flowers from the main kit and floral add on and a Creative Embellishment chipboard flourish that I had in my stash!

I used three of Prima tapes to frame the photo!  The tapes are so cool!

I created the title using the stickers!  Perfect title!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
