Playing around with Brusho crystal colour

Hi!
So I bought a couple of the Brusho crystal colours from the
These things are so much fun....I am going to order more colors..

I started with a piece of 7dots paper that I had in my stash.
I covered it in clear gesso and allowed to dry.  I then used a Crafters Workshop stencil with some molding paste and heat set it.  I sprayed my paper with a bit of water and then started adding the brusho powder in turquoise and lime green.
I then spritzed with more water and allowed the colors to mix and mingle.

See those really cool multi color flowers?  I used brusho on them too!
They are Petaloo DIY paintable Dahlias and Rosebuds.
I spritzed them with a bit of water...added the brusho colors then spritzed again. Cool affect.

I covered the chipboard with  ink lightly then took the pieces and ran through the colors that were left on my crafts mat.

Anyways so I was having my fun yesterday trying out the brusho's.
I am going to get more colours and try some more techniques!

a little altered art!

I tend to crate mostly layouts but once in a while I love tp try new things...
that is one of the things I love about the hobby...trying new things and if I love it the results than great if I didn't then I learned and try again.
Luckily this one of the times where I loved the results...

I used the Scraps of Darkness April kit to alter this wine bottle....
I did layers of gesso, gel medium, stamping, molding paste, crackle medium and Lindy's and dylusions mist...this is the result

The adorable Prim resin owl is from a previous Scraps of Darkness kit...I treated it the same as I did the flowers and the other pieces...I covered them in gesso then added layers of mists, I used the Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Mist Steampunk Sepia from the color add on, the Prima Color Bloom Soft Teal from the store, and Dylusions squeezed orange inky spray from a previous kit.  After I was done misting and everything was try I added Prima Finnabair Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint Metallique Steampunk Copper and
Metallique Fresh Orange.

Here you can see the Kaisercraft script stamp I used from elements add on.

I love how the crackle looks

The molding past and crackle effect

The key and lock were also from a previous kit

This cool Tim Holtz metal band is from the elements add on that I altered with the gesso and mists and paint.

So I really had a lot of fun with this one and I think I will do another...if I do I will write a tutorial....too fun!

Thanks for stopping on

I used a  prima stencil and black ink, then took a Tim Holtz stencil and molding paste then embossing powder to create my background.

I created a flower cluster with some prima and handmade flowers and some metal embellishments covered in gesso.

I added more flowers and metal pieces!

I used some Tim Holtz tissue tape and Some Prima Mechanicals clock and wings that I added some gesso.

Here is the sketch I used (I flipped it) from Stuck?!

Working with G45 from the April SOD kit!

Good morning!
I love Graphic 45....I love how saturated the fabulous the colors are! I used to be intimidated by the graphic sides of their papers but I am now more comfortable with them although this time I chose to use the other sides because I loved the colors and design of them!

The G45 papers are from the Cityscapes collection in the April Scraps of Darkness kit 'Travel Stories' and the bright and bold colors I thought were prefect for a beach photo of my guys.

I started by picking out my layers in colors and designs then inked the outside of each one.

I created a few flowers clusters using the
Prima Vintage Emporium Opera Flowers from the main kit and the Prima Vintage Emporium Flowers Intermezzo from the floral add on.

I used one of the Graphic 45 Cityscapes collection Ephemera Cards from the Elements Add On for the place and date and added a few more flowers

The very cool Tim Holtz metal quote band is also in the

My first two layout with the April Scraps of Darkness kit

Hi everyone!
This months Scraps Of Darkness kit 'Travel Stories' is jam packed full of beautiful papers and embellishments from Kaisercraft and Graphic 45!  Both lines area awesome!  I decided to start with the Kaisercraft 'Story Book' papers....
I love sketches....I find them so versatile and a great place to start creating from and this months sketch challenge from Kaisercraft is so fabulous I used it twice!

I started by choosing my layers then trimmed and distressed the edges!

I used a title block from one of the papers than I adhered all the layers together.

I used the Prima Box Flowers - Penmanship from the floral add on then I misted them with a navy from a previous kit and the Lindy's Stamp Gang, Starburst Mist in Steampunk Sepia from the color add on.  I also added a few flowers from a previous kit and the Kaisercraft iceburg paper blooms from the SOD store

I die cut some branches/leaves from a die from my stash

My next layout I flipped the sketch....

This is our handsome youngest son on the day of his confirmation.

I again altered the flowers with the Lindy's mists
and die cut leaves

I used the Docrafts Papermania Adhesive Crochet Trim from the elements add on, on the sides of the photo

Here is the sketch I used from Kaisercraft
