Fun with Sketches, Her stash and my Mom part 2

Good morning!

As I promised yesterday I want to share the layout my mom did using the same Kaisercraft sketch that I did

Here is my moms wonderful layout

The doily is more green than blue but for some reason it is showing blue....

She layered two misted doilies and some flowers and fussy cut butterfly

It is a lot of fun when my mom and I do this...we both start with the same sketch and end up with different layouts!

fun with sketches, the stash and my mom Part 1

Hi everyone!
This last little while my mom and I have been using up our our stash and being inspired by sketches.

We used the wonderful sketch from Kaisercraft this month
and I created this layout using old Scraps Of Darkness kit pieces!

This is our oldest Cody a few years ago...handsome bugger that he is! I used the Kaisercraft Scrapyard papers from a previous
Scraps Of Darkness Kit and the tin stars too!

One of the things I love about Kaisercraft papers is the little strip you cut off the paper has awesome designs or words.

I made the bricks using a crafters workshop stencil, texture paste and paint!  I also used a TCW stencil for the ring/circle and added some Viva Decor Rusty Patina paint - also from a previous SOD kit

here is the wonderful sketch that I turned on its side.

Come back tomorrow and I will share my moms layout using the same sketch

Thanks for stopping by!

More Lovey Dovey

Good morning!
I am so excited to share my final layout using the
Scraps Of Darkness Heirloom kit

For this one I used the Blue Fern Timeless papers and this months Blue Fern sketch!

To start with I trimmed all my papers and inked them with the Tim Holtz forest moss ink from a previous kit

I created some flower clusters using flowers from the floral add on and previous kits and the gems are also from a previous kit

I used the crafters workshop  ledger stencil from the elements add on and some molding paste

I used the Blue Fern studios turkish bits from the SOD store for accents....I sprayed them with mists, then inked them with the forest moss ink then rubbed them with distress stickles.

One Cool dude

 Hey everyone!
Today I am sharing a layout I did using teh Scraps Of Darkness 'Heirloom' kit and a sketch from Stuck?!

This cool dude is our youngest when he graduated from Elementary school....

I used the 7 dots papers from the paper add on
and the tags from the elements add on

I chose the three papers I wanted and then trimmed them down and distressed the edges added the Tim Holtz tissue tape....then layered the tags

I had the Blue Fern Studios Jumbo Rings Panel in my stash.
I sprayed them with some Lindy's mists from previous kits then added some black ink and the stampendous aged black embossing enamel also from a previous kit and heat embossed it.
here is a close up of it

For the title piece I took three of the circles that punched out of the panel and sprayed them with three different grey mists from previous kits.  The star is also from Blue Fern...I misted and embossed the outline star then I misted the inside star with the Lindy's Rusty Lantern mist then inserted it back into the outline star and added my title.

Here is the sketch from Stuck?!
