It's the spookiest time of year!

Good afternoon everyone!

I am excited to share my next layout using the Octobers
Scraps Of Darkness kit 'Danse Macabre'

our two boys always loved Halloween and dressing in scary costumes!

I loved working with the Authentique Moonlit papers!  so fun!

I used flowers from the floral add on, some from previous kits and some I bought at the SOD store!

The feather is from the a previous SOD kit!

I added the Stampendous Black Crushed Glass Glitter from the elements add on to various flowers, the Prima metal embellishments (also from EAO) and the feather!

I LOVE the Pewter May Arts Crocheted Thread Ribbon....it is really cool!

In the main kit we received Tim Holtz Idea-ology Boneyard Resin Skulls and I could not resist sticking one in in the flower!

I inked some bats that were in last years Halloween kit from UmWow studios

The Blue Fern Studios Chipboard Ironwork Edge is really fabulous!
I trimmed the end off because I wanted to use the Prima light from last months kit.
I then inked it, then embossed it with the Stampendous Embossing Enamel in Aged Black.
I also added some more of the glitter glass.

Thanks for stopping by!

First layout with the October SOD kit!

I LOVE Halloween!
I have some decorations up - a graveyard, a few ghosts and spiders, body parts strewn around, and some floating heads!
Its fun!!!

Last year was Ty's last year of trick or treating....he is getting too old now so I will have lots of fun scrapbooking these memories!

This is Ty (the Killer Clown) and his best friend Sam (Einstein) last year.

I used the Graphic 45 Rare Oddities papers and sis some water distressing.
I also used a stencil and some molding paste, sprayed with the three mists from the color add on and main kit - Jazzy Jivin Purple, Go Greased Lightnin', and Sidewalk Chalk

the flowers are from the floral add on that I splattered with the three mists!
I added one of the G45 chipboard pieces for their names & date

I used a title piece from last years Halloween kit that I splattered with the Sidewalk Chalk mist.

I had a lot of fun with the Blue Fern Studios Chipboard Ironwork Edge from the Elements add on
I inked it first with Tim Holtz forest moss distress ink from a previous kit, then I used my embossing pad randomly in spots and added the Olive Stampendous Vintage Embossing Tinsel from the color add on and heat set it.  I then used the embossing pad randomly again and used the Aged Black
Stampendous Embossing Enamel.  I think it looks cool!

The stamp is too cute!  The 'little frog' is from the main kit and i used the embossing tinsel on it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Real Men Wear Pink

Good morning!
I have a layout I want to share that means  a lot to me.
over night on June 7th til 8th 2014 my hubby walked
9 hours 49 minutes straight in cowboy boots
over 25 miles,
on my sisters Relay for Life team 'Deb's Ducks' to raise money for Breast Cancer research.
My sister is a wonderful, strong, and beautiful woman that kicked cancers behind!!!
That relay she had a lot of fabulous supporters who walked with her and cheered her on during the survivor lap.

Jon did not stop, he did not rest, he wanted to walk the entire 12 hours but that's impossible.
My wonderful brother in law Brent, walked with Jon during what ended up being Jon's final lap and told him 'He had done enough, and it was time to rest'  Jon told Brent he wanted to finish this lap and Brent walked with him.  They finished the lap in silence...nothing more needed to be said.

I am so very proud of him.

In the photo Jon is being recognized by the Blenheim organizer for walking the longest.
I wish I could remember the ladies name but alas.....

I bought a Scraps Of Elegance kit a LONG time ago and used the 7 dots paper!

I sprayed a few doilies and then used a bit of gesso.  Under the photo is some tags with some personal journaling.

I added some of the die cuts around the cluster and a key!
I covered the key with gesso, then added some Lindy's stamp gang embossing powder in
Stardust Candy Rose.

Here you can see the title and I highlighted how long he walked by using a Prima resin oval frame that I inked, then used the same embossing powder and bit of pink Heidi Swapp Color Shine.
I added some Flourish With  Bling pearls around the cluster and on the oval frame!

I also embossed on a few butterflies and added some gesso

Here you can see the whole cluster

I love the big flower!  Lots of dimension!

I am entering this the Scrap Your stash challenge.
