More from the Scrap Of Darkness August kit!

hi everyone!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Today I wanted to share a couple more layouts from this months awesome Scraps of Darkness kit

First up I chose to use the awesome Bo Bunny papers and elements in the kit AND I used the wonderful Bo Bunny sketch found here

I layered and distressed the lovely Bo Bunny papers!

I die cut some flowers out of the paper bags that Melinda uses to ship the add ons in!
I misted them and if you look I used a Bo Bunny brad in the center that was in the elements add on.

I used  a Misc. Me journaling block that I distressed the edges on also from elements add on and some Bo Bunny buttons that in the main kit.

I misted a few doilies too with various colors from previous kits!

Next up is another layout that I used the wonderful Bo Bunny papers on

I love these colors!

I created a cluster of elements using flowers from the floral add on and some from previous kits, and a banner from the Bo Bunny Combo Stickers from the main kit

I die cut some leaves out of the Bo Bunny papers and the deep red flower is from my stash

in these photos you can see the dimension.....

More from the SOD August kit!

Good morning!

Today I am sharing 2 more projects from this months awesome kit!

I love how the patterns, colors and designs all lend themselves to each other in the Kaisercraft Botanica paper line!
It makes it so easy to layer....one of my favorite things to do!

I used one of the wonderful stamps in the elements add on and gesso....added a few flowers and the wonderful title I cut from one of the papers!

I also added a bit of gesso to the flowers and misted a doily with mist from a previous kit and tucked it between a couple of layers.  In the Color Add On is Tim Holtz Distress Mini Ink Pad - Forest Moss which was perfect for inking my edges!

I created a cluster of flowers and added one of those darling owls from the main kit.
To achieve the look I painted the owl with Inklingz from previous kits, and while it was still wet I added some embossing powder also from a previous kit and heat set it.  I painted the heart and eyes and then added some gesso.  I think he is adorable!

My next project is a card I created for a friend.

The cut apart papers from Kaisercraft make creating cards easy!

I misted some cheesecloth from a previous kit, inked the edges with the Tim Holtz ink, layered and tied a bow with ribbon from a previous kit!

I love the kraft colored flowers that were in a previous kit!

I added another cut apart for the inside and a few flowers and a butterfly from a previous kit!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

My first layout with the August SOD kit!

Hey everyone!

I am excited to share my first layout I created using the August Scraps Of Darkness kit
'Kathy's Nature Walk' named after our designer Kathy Mosher!

For this layout I used the awesome Kaisercraft Botanica line found in the kit
AND their awesome sketch found here

Here is the wonderful sketch

This our youngest and one of his favorite places - the beach!
He always seems at peace there!

I sprayed the doily with Lindy's Tainted Love Teal from a previous kit

I made a banner from one of the kaiser papers, inked and embossed a kaiser wood corner piece from my stash, inked & distressed the title I cut from one of the papers, and cut apart one of the Prima butterflies from the kit.

I used one of my stencils and a sand medium.  I did not want it really bright so I gently inked it with a make up sponge and ink, then sprayed another sponge with the mist and dabbed it over too.
I die cut some leaves in the same paper as the banner and sprayed and/or inked the flowers!.
I also tore some pieces of another Kaisercraft paper, inked them then adhered them to edges.

OOPS Forgot to share

Summer has been busy and I completely forgot to share
my last two layouts from the July Scraps Of Darkness kit - my bad.

The first one is of our handsome oldest son.
This photo was taken just before he started in grade 9.

I used a bunch of old kit pieces, some die cuts and of course the wings from the kit - that I just love!
I misted them, painted them and heat embossed them with the embossing powder and magicals from the kit and add ons!

I like that they all look different but yet have the same grungy feel

My next layout is of one of my sweet granddaughters!

Isn't she precious?

I added the cameo from the elements add on to the metal wings!  I fussy cut the title from one of the papers

I wanted to the focus to be on Alex so I created a cluster of flowers which would draw your eyes to her.  To add visual interest I inked a few of the flowers and to add texture I used some of the crocheted lace from the kit.
